Qualifications :
- B.Sc in Microbiology .
- Past experience of working in a reference lab is preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and current developments in the field of clinical/environmental microbiology.
- Knowledge of the use, operation and care of standard laboratory equipment and materials.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and conduct research projects, such as improving sterilization procedures or developing drugs to combat infectious diseases.
- Perform laboratory experiments for a variety of purposes, such as to inform the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.
- Supervises laboratory staff and participates in performing diagnostic tests.
- Performs complex tests and examinations having a large number of variables and non-standardized techniques.
- Maintains records; participates in training new staff.
